A LETTER FROM OUR VP OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Director Pictures-65.jpg

Hi! My name is Mary Elizabeth Pope, and I'm Phi Mu’s VP of Community Engagement. I am so honored, and excited to hold this position. Leadership and service is something that I hold so dearly to my heart, and in my opinion there is no better group to serve than the kids. Here in Phi Mu our Philanthropies are Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Cooks Children's Hospital, and Fosters right here in Stephenville. I am simply in awe of the amazing work we are allowed to do in Phi Mu. With that, I want to make Philanthropy the forefront of our chapter. The reason why other chapters know us, are excited to work with us, and look up to us when it comes to supporting their own charities. Through our national philanthropy, CMNH we are able to partner with over 170 children's hospitals across North America. Fundraising for anything from life saving treatment to medical research for children across the world. Our state philanthropy, Cooks Children Hospital is a treasure that we get right here in Texas. Once a year we as a chapter come together to gather as many teddy bears that we can to deliver to Cooks Children for all of the sick kids that come through their doors.  Like many of our local philanthropy, Foster’s is by far one of my favorites. To have the privilege to serve and give to children who have already seen the worst is an honor that I hope we have a chapter never to take for granted.  This year is going to be filled with several opportunities for our girls to serve through our organization. I can not wait to see the impact that we will make on the organizations we support and our local community in Stephenville. Thank you to everyone who supports and loves the kids as much as we do! Here's to 2026 and the best year yet!

LIOB,

Mary Elizabeth Pope
